40% of people in the Netherlands uses apps or wearables (like smartwatches or rings) to monitor their health: steps, menstrual cyclus, sleep and stress. Matthijs Noordzij (professor University of Twente) researches stress wearables. In his research, Noordzij looks at the validity and reliability of the stress measurements of consumer wearables. And he studies whether these wearables really help people live healthier lives, and if they could be used in practice in health care.
