Several Stress in Action colleagues attended the World Congress of Psychiatric Genetics (WCPG) in Glasgow, Scotland, including Haixia Gu.

On October 1, Haixia presented a poster entitled: “GWAS meta-analysis in more than 500,000 Europeans identifies 10 loci for stressful life events and shows causal links with neuropsychiatric and cardiometabolic disorders.”

This work was supervised by Chao Chen from Central South University, and Catharina Hartman and Harold Snieder from the University Medical Center Groningen (UMCG).

Haixia shares her experience: “It was a wonderful opportunity to share research closely connected to my work during the SiA project with the wider psychiatric genetics community. WCPG was an excellent conference, and I received very positive and encouraging feedback on my poster.”

Great to see SiA research represented on an international stage!
