Sebastian Castro-Alvarez is a postdoctoral researcher at the department of Psychometrics and Statistics at the University of Groningen. He is interested in the development and application of psychometric methods to data in intensive longitudinal research studies. In his postdoc project, he and his collaborators aim to develop statistical approaches for time series data based on the Item Response Theory, which could be useful to improve the self-report measurements in intensive longitudinal research. These developments will aid in having a deeper understanding of the reliability and validity of ESM measures. Furthermore, within his project, he also aims to implement his new methods in easy-to-use open-source software to facilitate their use.
