From the 11th to the 14th of May, the European Congress on Obesity (ECO) 2025 took place Malaga, Spain. This congress was all about new developments in obesity treatment, from innovative medications to precision prevention approaches, and international networking.
Prof. dr. Liesbeth van Rossum was invited to speak during the pre-meeting with presidents of the national obesity societies, where she presented the Dutch network approach, an update on available treatments, prevention strategy and personalized treatment tools.
Various colleagues of Stress in Action and Erasmus MC were present at the congress.
- Susanne Kuckuck presented about Improved Mental Health After 4 Months Treatment with the GLP-1 Analogue Liraglutide
- Robin Lengton presented about unravelling the impact of daily life stress and glucocorticoid regulation on cardiometabolic health
- Joëlle Oosterman talked about Assessing Perceived Stress and Glucocorticoid Dynamics in Healthy South Asian and Europid People
- Mariëtte Boon talked about GLP-1, GIP, and glucagon excursions during a mixed meal tolerance test in young and lean South Asian versus Europid males and females.
