Dr. Laura Han is an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at Amsterdam UMC. With a background in neuroscience, she leads international projects on the complex links between major depression and age-related biology. After earning her PhD cum laude in 2021, she received Rubicon and Veni grants and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Melbourne. Using MRI and omics, she studies determinants of age-related biology and mental ill-health, their longitudinal dynamics, prognostic value, and potential reversibility with treatment. She is also committed to fostering a healthy, inclusive research culture that makes publishing practices faster, fairer, and more inclusive.
