Haixia Gu is a visiting PhD student in the Psychiatry Department at the University Medical Center Groningen (UMCG). Holding bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Psychology, she is currently pursuing her doctoral research in Genetics. Her research is passionately dedicated to precisely defining and measuring psychological stress, while exploring its critical role in disease development and treatment. Leveraging her unique interdisciplinary background in psaychology and genetics, Haixia’s current work focuses on uncovering the genetic foundations of psychological stress and its relationships with neuropsychiatric disorders.
