Before joining SiA, Danaé was a Psychology Master student at the University of California, San Diego. She then worked as a research assistant at the Hospital Vinatier in Lyon, France. There, she investigated the cerebral markers of emotive facial recognition deficits associated with schizophrenia using FPVS-EEG while completing her clinical training.

Her PhD project consists of developing an ambulatory toolkit to measure costs and benefits of listening effort in a daily-life occupational setting, using a combination of physiological wearables and EMA-based self-report. These interventions aim to reduce the stress and fatigue caused by demanding or noisy work situations, or in people with impaired hearing. She is working in collaboration with Eriksholm Research Center in Denmark.
