Catharina A. Hartman is Associate Professor of psychiatric epidemiology at the University Medical Center Groningen (UMCG) and leader of the Interdisciplinary Center of Psychopathology and Emotion Regulation (ICPE) research program. Her work is aimed at improving the understanding the lifespan course of neuropsychiatric conditions and their transmission to the next generation, based on longitudinal and multigenerational dataresources, including the Dutch northern cohorts TRAILS, TRAILS NEXT and Lifelines. Het current work is funded by Dutch and European funding agencies. She has (co-)authored over 400 publications which have been cited over 45,000 times.
