On Thursday the 20th of June prof. dr. Geke Ludden successfully completed her inaugural lecture ‘Designerly ways of caring’. Thereby accepting and celebrating her appointment to professor in Interaction Design at University of Twente.
The topic of Geke’s inaugural lecture was ‘Designerly ways of caring’. She discussed how interaction with technology can benefit health on individual, community and society levels and how design plays an important role in this. For Stress in Action specifically, she mentioned the values that we identified in the design of current wearable technology and the need to broaden the responsibility of stress prevention beyond the individual.
