Annemarie Luik is an assistant professor at the department of Epidemiology of the Erasmus MC University Medical Center and the department chair of Epidemiology at the Trimbos Institute. She has a combined degree in Psychology (MSc) and Epidemiology (MSc, PhD). At Erasmus MC, she is the principal investigator for mental health and sleep epidemiology in the Rotterdam Study. Her research focusses on mental health, including common mental disorders such as depression and anxiety, and the role of sleep of sleep in mental and brain health. She is the president of the Dutch Society for Sleep and Wake Research.
